CSULB COVID-19
Campaign
2021
I created this campaign during the Spring of 2021 in preparation for the in-person classes for Fall 2021. These posters were intended to be part of the lawn stakes around campus to remind students how to be on campus safely. With that in mind, I used heavy, bold fonts to capture attention and convey urgency. My typeface combination with a serif font conveys the seriousness and authority to contrast with a whimsical typeface that seems more inviting.

I incorporated our new Mascot to connect directly to students to address social distance. Paired with headlines like “Don’t Get Bit,” I used imagery to express shark bites that could also be interpreted as COVID-19 germs. Pop art with high contrast and a bright color scheme inspired image selections. The goal was to implement CDC guidelines in a much more stimulating way that is easy and quick to read while students walk by.
